Leana Mitchell has over 20 years of experience in higher education. She worked in institutional grants for over a decade and has taught at the university and community college levels since 2017. As a learning experience designer at Ellucian, Leana uses her experience as a university instructor to strengthen her interactions with faculty, helping them to develop quality and engaging online courses that impact student satisfaction, retention, and completion. Leana believes that online academic programs make higher education available to students who might not otherwise be able to attend college, attain degrees, and enhance their career opportunities.

Leana holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Trident University International.
